Operating a business presents a variety of challenges for business owners and financial managers. Sax Macy Fromm understands that the decisions owners and financial managers make everyday have a significant impact on the future of their business, and that it can often help to share their thoughts and insights with others in the same situation. As a result, Sax Macy Fromm created the SMF Financial Managers Forum to provide an opportunity for top management to confer with their peers, exchange ideas and recommendations, and find practical solutions to improve daily performance.
What is the Financial Managers Forum and how can it help?
The SMF Financial Managers Forum is a professional development resource that educates members on critical issues facing the business world today through guest speakers, informative discussions, and educational videotapes. In addition, members are eligible to receive two hours of CPE credits for each attended session.
The group is limited to 14-16 seasoned professionals, mostly CFOs from non-competing companies, whose main objective is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their daily responsibilities. The discussions cover a broad-range of topics and include suggestions that add value, enhance performance, and provide significant cost-saving benefits. The Forum also provides an opportunity to share “best practices,” so members can learn from the experience of others. An SMF principal facilitates each session, ensuring order, clarity, and objectivity, and all sensitive, financial information is excluded from the meetings.
