Debra L. Karacsony, CPA
Debra L. Karacsony is Director of Quality Control with Sax Macy Fromm & Co., PC (SMF) and has been practicing in the field of public accounting since 1978. Before joining SMF in 1996, Debra was a Director in the New Jersey office of Coopers and Lybrand. In her capacity as Director of Quality Control at SMF, Debra monitors the Firm’s compliance with professional standards in accounting, auditing and quality control. She is also involved in the development of the Firm’s training curriculum in the areas of accounting and auditing and conducts seminars on these topics for the Firm’s principals and staff.
Debra has extensive auditing experience in the manufacturing and construction industries. Her experience also includes performing peer reviews of corporate and governmental internal audit departments. She has also developed seminars and lectured to professionals on various accounting and auditing topics, and has been a seminar speaker for the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Debra is a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey. She earned a BBA degree in Accounting from Pace University in New York.
