Joseph A. Damiano, CPA
Joseph is a principal at Sax Macy Fromm & Co., PC (SMF), and has been with the firm for 14 years. As Co-Director of the firm’s Construction Industry Services Group, Joseph provides accounting and auditing services to general contractors, heavy highway, and specialty contractors, and advises clients on how to maximize their surety pre-qualifications, while minimizing their taxable income. He also works with clients in the firm’s Manufacturing and Distributing Group to increase their tax credits by utilizing research and development credits.
Joseph established the firm’s Financial Services Industry Group and provides accounting and auditing consulting services to asset managers, hedge funds, and broker dealers. He is also the Partner-in-Charge of SMF’s Marketing Group, where he monitors the firm’s growth goals.
He is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association, the New Jersey Surety Association, the New Jersey American Sub-Contractors Association, and the Garden State Credit Association. He is also an active member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Joseph is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and New Jersey, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Iona College.
