Robert Paz, CPA

Robert Paz joined Sax Macy Fromm & Co. in 1981 and became a principal in 1989. At SMF, Robert is the Director of the Firm's Construction Industry Service Group and an elected member of the Firm's Compensation Committee.

Robert's significant depth of knowledge and expertise in construction accounting and management issues has enabled him to help clients succeed. He works closely with his clients to address challenges and issues unique to the construction industry and develops solutions that will achieve their desired goals.

Robert is a New Jersey certified public accountant and has a Bachelor of Science in Commerce (Accounting) from Rider University.

Robert is an active member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA). He has served as Treasurer of the New Jersey Construction Council (NJCC) (2003-Present), President of the Construction Industry CPA’s and Consultants Association (CICPAC) (2002-2004), and Chairman of the Accounting and Reporting Committee (2000-2003). He has also been actively involved with the American Subcontractors Association (ASA), NJ Surety Underwriters Association (NJSUA), and Utility and Transportation Contractors Association (UTCA). He has authored many articles, including “The Dirty Thirty: Thirty Ways to Boost Profits in Your Construction Company”, published in CMFA Building Profits, and “How to Obtain Financing” which appeared in New York Construction News. He also participates in speaking engagements for the AICPA’s National Construction Conference, CICPAC, NJSCPA and NJSUA.
