Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of complex corporate, partnership, fiduciary, individual, estate, gift and not-for-profit tax returns
- Review of simple returns
- Tax research
- Train and supervise lower level staff
- Handle client contact (i.e. discuss tax planning and recognize tax problems)
Requirements:
- 4+ years recent tax experience in mid-size or regional public accounting firm
- Bachelors degree in Accounting; M.S. in Taxation a plus
- CPA designation a plus
- Must have a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
- Must have a basic understanding of accounting principles and tax laws
- Strong attention to detail; ability to "think outside the box"
- Must demonstrate teamwork and be proactive
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and tax software programs; Knowledge of ProSystem fx a plus!
