SMF Financial Managers Forum

Running a business presents a variety of challenges. Everyday, owners and their financial managers make decisions that have a significant impact on the future of their business. Often, it can help to have someone to talk to, someone that can relate, and someone to share their insight. Recognizing this need, and in order to support top management, Sax Macy Fromm has formed the SMF Financial Managers Forum.

This select group of professionals meets on a monthly basis to discuss the problems and issues that financial managers face on a daily basis. The SMF Financial Managers Forum is a professional development resource that educates members on relevant topics, and provides guest speakers and educational videotapes on critical issues. Acting as advisors, members of the group assist each other in finding practical solutions to everyday challenges. In addition, group members are eligible to receive two hours of CPE credits for each session they attend.

The group is limited to 14 to 16 seasoned professionals, mostly CFOs, from non-competing companies, whose main objective is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their daily responsibilities. The discussions cover a broad range of professional and job-related topics, and include suggestions that can add value, enhance performance, and provide significant cost-savings benefits for the organization. The group also provides an opportunity to share "best practices," to learn from the experience of others. An SMF Principal heads each group and acts as a facilitator, ensuring order, clarity, and objectivity. These confidential meetings specifically exclude sensitive financial information.
